I first pointed this out in comments in [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63's journal. But it's one of those "hmmmmm" points that's worth putting down here as well.
Claire asked about her bio parents in the pilot. Her dad agrees to try and find them in ep. 2. The attempted kidnapping is in ep. 5, along with the dialog:
Nathan: Do you have any idea who I am?
Clarie's father: Better than even you do.

Ep. 6 is where we got the bogus bio parents.

Important? Who knows, but it does make you think. Also wanted to note that it makes sense that Peter's powers work when he remembers the person. After all, there's the dreams thing (that no one seems to care much about, which baffles me), which is totally about connecting with people.

Ahhh, Criminal Minds. I still can't decide if I love this show (yes, yes, oh my God, yes!) or I'm endless frustrated by this show (yes, most very much certainly yes). I mean, the CPR thing? Okay, TV CPR is waaaaay more successful than in real life. I even think the bomber guy who taunted Gideon commented it only succeeds ~10% in the most ideal circumstances (immediately, in a hospital setting). But to have Dawson go outside, argue with himself, then come back in to do CPR and Reid's all hunky-dory? That's pushing it even for TV.

And then there's the drug thing. I mean, Reid's going straight to the hospital and going to be put in one of those drafty gowns and parked in a bed. Which means they're going to find the vials in his pocket. I keep hoping he grabbed them so he can show them to the docs, and he simply doesn't want to worry the team more, but really? Yeah, I'm not trusting the writers that much. Every time I do, I'm disappointed. So, bracing myself for the Drug Addict!Reid story line.

Not that it wasn't a great episode. Loved JJ's mental breakdown. Happy that they're finally hinting they're going to do something with Prentiss besides have her be the non-blond chick. Loved Garcia, because I ALWAYS loved Garcia. And Reid's backstory... I love that they put such a twist on his relationship with his mom. I always figured he was ashamed and embarrassed by her illness. No, he's ashamed and embarrassed and GUILTY that he couldn't help her. Loved it. But still dreading the drug addict thing.

I'm rather dreading the drug addict thing myself. Also because Reid seems to want to keep things, himself, his fear of schizophrenia, under such tight control. Not everything, not the way someone who has it in a compulsive disorder form would? If that made sense. But like someone with an alcoholic family background, who is very, very careful.

So then why would he then go and willingly get himself addicted to such a dangerous drug?

My guess.. oh. Right, Dawson's Creek Dawson... My guess was more along the lines that he didn't want Tobias caught with the drugs, even if he knew they knew about them? Just. Wanted to give him some sort of dignity in his death, not a crazy drug addict. He seemed to connect with Tobias, sympathy and empathy and all.

Prentiss is scary. But I loved how everyone was all worried about Reid in their own ways, how they care for him so much and Gideon's guilt over his temporary death.

I love Heroes. With the possible exception of Jessica/Nicky (Nikki?). And I have to hand it to them, they seem to have a clue as to where it's going. Unlike some genre shows I could mention. :)

The Jessica/Nikki thing is not my favorite, but I adore Micah. And her/their complex relationship with him.
