Am currently watching the movies based on Lone Wolf and Cub, having finished the manga series last month(ish). I'm enjoying it, but wishing it had been made more recently than the early 70's. The fighting is fine, but the deaths... Well, let's just say, the nlood is crayola red, there's too much of it and its spurts with the force, volume and sound of turning on a hose. I keep thinking of the Black Knight and it completely ruins the experience. It doesn't help that the actor playing Retsudo looks like a drunken Asian Moses.
