Too tired to breathe
Sep. 4th, 2005 04:44 pmLabor Day weekend. Traditionally, a sort of last hurrah of summer, a chance to enjoy yourself. I am not enjoying myself.
Yesterday, another employee's wallet was stolen out of the library office -- the office *behind* the circ desk where I work. Now, there are a fair number of people going back there right now -- law review has all the books their people need stored back there -- and we're away from the desk off and on all day. Still, it's shocking. And sucks for the employee.
I'm also burning out on the coverage of Katrina. A couple people on my flist are posting pretty much every five minutes about it. But while I am outraged by what's happend and still happening, I don't have the energy to do it 24/7, in detail. Maybe that makes me one of the sheep. I don't know.
