EEEEE!!!!!
Aug. 21st, 2007 05:40 pmSo, I already heard back from New Mexico. (I was supposed to hear in ~2 weeks). I've been invited for an in-person interview! I'm happy. And terrified. All at the same time.
Thinking about moving, even if it's not a sure thing yet, is scary. I love the Twin Cities. I love the martial arts studio where I study, and the people I study with. I love the farmer's market, and the southeast Asian food. I love my local public library. But, at the same time, I've become complacent and isolated. I've been back for about four years, and I still have a very limited social life. I don't indulge my hobbies for gaming or dogs.
If I do move, I'm hoping to get back into the swing of life, to recapture what I used to have. And I'll keep studying Tai Chi, I know that. My sifu even said he'd help me find a good place to study down there if I do go. I love southwestern food - the chilies and... well, the chilies.
Of course, maybe I'm getting way ahead of myself. Maybe I won't get the job. But it's good to know that if I do, even the bad things won't be that bad.
