So, I already heard back from New Mexico. (I was supposed to hear in ~2 weeks). I've been invited for an in-person interview! I'm happy. And terrified. All at the same time.

Thinking about moving, even if it's not a sure thing yet, is scary. I love the Twin Cities. I love the martial arts studio where I study, and the people I study with. I love the farmer's market, and the southeast Asian food. I love my local public library. But, at the same time, I've become complacent and isolated. I've been back for about four years, and I still have a very limited social life. I don't indulge my hobbies for gaming or dogs.

If I do move, I'm hoping to get back into the swing of life, to recapture what I used to have. And I'll keep studying Tai Chi, I know that. My sifu even said he'd help me find a good place to study down there if I do go. I love southwestern food - the chilies and... well, the chilies.

Of course, maybe I'm getting way ahead of myself. Maybe I won't get the job. But it's good to know that if I do, even the bad things won't be that bad.

Congrats on the interview, and it's about time. Keeping my fingers crossed, and yes -- there's cool people in New Mexico :)

And it's just so damned pretty. (Also, they have a Camarilla chapter).

There are times to hold still and times to change. You are coming into a changing-time. You may have been waiting for the time to be right, but it will happen and be good.

This would be more serious if I didn't have this butterfly and cocoon image in the back of my head... cause y'know, if you actually grew butterfly wings... you'd be irked about it. "What am I supposed to do with THESE?" So maybe not a butterfly. But it's your life. What bug would you like to be?

I'm not sure I want to be a bug. Of course, currently, I feel a bit like a cicada. You know, those ones that spent 17 years underground before emerging.
