terrieJust got back from voting. Go me! Helped to keep Alan Page on the MN Supremem Court. Also go me! (The guy running against him was scary Scalia-type judge).
Downside is I got stuck behind the NASTIEST woman in the line. Immeduately on walking into the polling location, she bitches to a judge about how MoveOn (political org.) was outside. With signs! Now, yes, they can't be within 100 ft. of the enterance. They were closer to 200 ft out. And the signs she was complaining about? Announcing that they had voter registration cards so you wouldn't have to waste time filling one out inside. Feel the evil influence!
Then she whined about how "If I see see one more fukcing sign, I might do somethign drastic." Now, "doing something drastic" is usually a way of implying suicide. I wish she would. Because she followed this up with a snide comment about how if people couldn't figure out how to submit their ballot to the machine, they shouldn't be allowed to vote. Only, the machine was broken so the explination she was deriding was how the machine was broken and this is the process that is used in that case...
Urgh. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Spent 30 min. in line supressing urge to hit her over the head. Still, was worth it. I voted. Go me!
