Home, sweet Home
May. 11th, 2008 12:17 pmSo I'm settled into my apartment, I have my dog and I have internet! Yeah. Let us all rejoice. Zeus is a great dog. A bit clingier than I'm used to, but I just went from a Lhasa Apso to a Doberman. He needs to lose weight, so there may be a ton of green beans in his future. The apartment is great, except I still need to find a dining room table. All the ones I've seen haven't been quite what I'm looking for.
Went to my second Forsaken game last night. Once again, much fun. I got to actually play my new character. I also got to reprise one of the NPCs I played last time. Because of that start to the night, combined with the fact that my new character is the daughter of the current NPC villain, most people assumed she was another NPC. This led to a certain amount of assumptions on the other players' parts. Such as, after the initial confrontation between my own character and one pack, they were quite shocked when I insisted on coming along on the night's adventures. Of course, given how much they were willing to trust me (not very far, but far enough for me to get some very useful information. Like, how I might want to invest in silver bullets) I have to wonder how much they would have trusted me if they knew I was a PC. They're trying to get me on their side, but it's not working very well. "We'll introduce you to your uncle, who your father told you was dead. Oh, wait, he couldn't make it. But, look, he left a note!"
At the end of the game, several people said that I should be allowed to convert my "NPC" into a PC. Which is a hell of a compliment.
Afterwards, about half of us went to IHOP and so I didn't get home until 2:30. I've only had about five hours of sleep, so I'm thinking I need a nap this afternoon, then shopping for groceries. Yeah, food!
