Just got back from Gutherie production. Romeo and Juliet. Good acting, strange but interesting set, lousy script. I just can't bring myself to like it. The acting was good enough that I wanted to like it, but I kept finding myself going "Okay, now you're being stupid. Stop for, say, 30 seconds and think, you moron." And it's not just the title characters, either. Everyone there acts like a bunch of teenagers involved in trying to be as dramatic as possible.
