Weekendy thoughts
Spent yesterday at a dog show. Deperately, longingly want a doberman. Must have doggie! Was a lot of fun. Saw some wonderful, wonderful dogs. Watched some agility. Saw a lot of dogs have trouble with the A-frame. Came home tired, but happy. I need more days like that.
Dude. I mean, whoa. Have I mentioned lately how much I get sucked into this show? No? Well, let me just say it has eaten my brain. Totally. I want to say something important and witty, but keep being reduced to squeals, going "Oooooo!" and waving my hands in the air like a maniac. There were a couple thoughts that got through that, though. ;)
Marco and Diana! So very, very cute. I've been pulling for Marco all season. He's just so sweet. Hmmmm, Richard Kahan (the actor) was born in Canada. I'm being to think that all good things come from Canada.
Dr. Burkhoff injecting himself. Bad idea. Very bad idea. Hasn't this man ever read/seen any sci-fi? Using yourself as guinea pig always leads to bad things. Always.
Kyle turning himself in. Well, since he surrendered himself, he'll probably get bail. I'll bet Shawn would be willing to pay it. And since he said he was having blackouts, he could probably claim legal insanity as a defence, so it's not like they'll be skipping the trial and going straight to sentencing. So, he may not be going to prison for a while, if at all. This is a good thing. I like Kyle.
Jordon Collier. From Jesus Christ to Robinson Crusoe. (You know, what happens to the murder charge if he shows up alive?)
And Shawn healing Kyle. Wow. That was perfectly handled. But, you have to wonder if they'll regret it later on. Also, wonder what knowing the future was behind Jordon's murder will do to Shawn's view of the purpose of the 4400. (Personally? My take is that Jordon existed to build the center for his own purposes, but was killed so Shawn could turn it into something pure of purpose).
When do we get new episodes? Because I want them NOW.
Okay, SG1. Ba'als! Many of him. Something of an embarrassment of riches there.
SGA. What is up with Sheppard and Dex? I thought they were setting it up to have them compete for Teyla, but it was almost like she didn't exist. Sheppard was all "Isn't he the coolest thing ever?" when Dex was tracking the Wraith. And the way Dex took off after Sheppard? Seriously, it's like they're competeing to impress each other -- and suceeding!
