Excuse me while I keep yawning

Ugh, I'm so damned tired right now. It's that heavy sort of tired, where your muscles ache with it. Why am I so tired? Because they haven't turned the swamp coolers on at my aprtment complex yet. They're only starting today, and probably won't get to my place until tomorrow or Thursday. In the meantime, I'm counting down the minutes until I go home, because I really too tired to get a lot done. Some stuff gets done, it's true, but I know MORE would get done if I were even halfway awake.

Next week, I have vacation. Sort of. It's a family reunion thingy, so it's as much obligation. I'm of mixed feelings about it. Some of it will be fun and relaxing. We'll watch movies, play Yahtzee, eat food. Some of it will be neither. Liek when I get dragged shopping. My aunts love shopping. Me? Well, I like bookstores, but that's about it. And if anyone starts talking politics, I may scream. I sometimes forget how conservative that part of my family is. But it's been hard to ignore lately. My cousin is working for the campaign of a governor candidate for his state. And he keeps sending the whole family Facebook updates about it, unvites to events, etc. The most recent bit? His candidate was endorsed by Sarah Palin. And he's so PROUD of this fact. The nasty, confrontational part of me wants to show up wearing this shirt.
