More of the Zeus saga

Over the next month, you'll hear a lot about the saga of adopting Zeus. I'm just one of those people who dotes on my pets.

So I told the rescue guy I definitely want to adopt Zeus. He's really happy about it, since many people want "perfect" dogs and don't consider special needs dogs. Which is sad, because I think Zeus IS perfect. He's perfect for me, which is what's important. If I could design a dog for my lifestyle, he'd be it. Yes, one of his legs looks a little odd and he doesn't run very well, but so what? As I told the rescue guy, those physical flaws aren't what's going to drive you nuts over the years.

For instance, my cat's only physical issues are some possible skin allergies (she's always been itchy) and now, as she's gotten older, some arthritis in one of her back legs. what drives me nuts about her? Her tendency to drink out of the toilet and then come jump in my lap with toilet water wet paws. And her tendency to knead my bladder in the morning. I'm sure Zeus will do things that drive me up the wall, but I doubt they'll have anything to do with his leg.
