Pan's Labyrinth

Whoa. And let me say is again. Whoa. you know, the movie was nothing like the previews and commercials suggested. There were some seriously brutal moments in there. Total cringe and look away moments. Except at the very moment you didn't think you could take anymore, the camera would cut away to a different scene. I can understand why the theater had a sign at the ticket booth warning that this was not, in anyway, suitable for children.

What also made the movie so memorable was the way it would walk the razor's edge between reality and fantasy. You could never be 100% sure that what you were seeing wasn't real.

Anyway, if you get the chance (and you don't have a weak stomach) I totally recommend this movie. Totally and completely. It's amazing.
