Happy 4th!

Me, I'm spending the day watching tv and letting the dog out and in and out and in and out and in and... You get the idea. I'm also reading, doing sudoku puzzles and putzing around with the computer. In other words, a day to indulge frivolous pastimes. I'm okay with this. Not going to see the fireworks. The dog freaks out, so I'm gonna stay home and let him burrow into my lap. Watch some more tv. Wow, I'm so exciting. No family in town this week, but I'm doing some grilling for myself. Turkey burgers. These are better than they sound. I made some marinated border-style onions last night, and the burgers are made with chilies, cumin and garlic and topped with pepper jack cheese, the onions, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce. The key is not to eat so much you make yourself ill. I always fail at this, eating till I think I might puke. i shouldn't, but they're just that good. Mmmmmm. Food.

Weirdo

Dog owners are probably some of the few people who have to worry about lotion leading to dry, chapped skin. Both dogs I've had liked to like it off people's legs.
