Ugh, parents.

Due to the cost of law school, I'm back living with the folks. It's not great, but not too bad either. For the most part. It helps keep my loans down. The major down side? My mother worries that I'm "isolated". I don't hugely socialize with my classmates outside of class. Nothing against them, I just don't have a huge amount in common with many of them. I go to tai chi and talk with people there, but apparently, that doesn't count in her eyes. (Never mind that we spend at least a fifth of the class time standing around talking). Nor am I the sort of person who NEEDS to go out with friends every week. The sort of social things I DO enjoy (gaming and volunteering at local animal shelter) I have no time for. Sucks, but its true. Now, if only I can convince my mom that I'm not "depressed" because I'm not living my life as she would.
