Took Zeus into the vet today. It's been confirmed that, yes, he does have an ear infection. Apparently, there's some scarring in that ear that reduces air flow, so it will probably need an eye kept on it always.

He also got his nails trimmed, which he did very well with. They were long enough that they were strating to make his toes skew, so I was glad to find out the quick (the blood vessel in the nail) was very short. They're not half the length they were before. Yeah! I'm also glad I had them done there, rather than doing them myself. I've never had a dog with dark nails before and apprently, his are extremely hard.

I was a bit embarrassed when he decided to pee on the front desk as I waited to pay. And he didn't just pee. He peed... and peed.... and peed. I swear, his bladder in the size of a cantaloupe.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't gone on and on and on. I promise, I let him pee before we left for the vet. But he'll hold it for the most part, going just enough to take off the pressure. He saves it up for our afternoon walk, where he marks five or six trees at least before he's done. Thankfully, the clinic staff were very understanding about it. "Oh, that happens all the time. He probably just smelled where some other dog went. Dont' worry, we'll get a towel."
