My latest obsession

My latest musical obsession is Fort Wilson Riot's "indie-rock opera"/concept album Idigaragua. It's described by local reporter Dylan Hicks as ""A five-part suite about globalization, Yankee arrogance, mystical birds, pirates, and more than can be here explained, with music sometimes reminiscent of Sondheim and Beethoven." I became obsessed when I heard "An Imagined Civil State" on the radio. You can find that song and two others on the band's website. Once you've listened to all three songs, go look at the lyrics for the whole album over here*. Then spend the next several days thinking about it.

*Note: The song listed on the band website as "What was the part I played" is listed under the title "The Chaos I had Aided" on the lyrics site.
