This week's theme: moving on

I realize that some people were disappointed by this episode. And I agree that there were certain weak points. The Angel/Spike plot often made light of trauma for laughs. That didn't really work. Things were also a bit overly drawn out in the A plot, there. Weaknesses aside, this is probably one of my favorite episodes in a while.

First off: Rome's W&H. I LOVED the CEO. "Dirty gyspys. Ptah. We will speak of them no more." I loved her. Heck, the whole "Look at the silly Americans" was kinda funny. Got a bit old at times -- if Italians are ever so civilized, what's with the hulking thugs, hmmm? But her? I loved her. I want to see more of her.

The Immortal. I liked that we never saw him. Much better that way. We know so little about him, except that he likes women. A lot. I can totally believe that Darla and Dru would sleep with him. They're not ones to really care what their men think. Also liked the bit about "Will you hold me under?" from Dru. She's so nuts. Gotta love that. But Buffy? She has men issues, so I have a bit of trouble with that whole thing.

The cookie dough rant. Probably the highlight of the whole A plot. By the time Andrew asked if Angel was crying, I *was* crying. From laughter. This scene is the one that totally made everything for me.

However, that scene aside, the B plot really made this episode amazing. Amy Acker deserves the Emmy or something for this episode. The way she slide between Fred and Illyria. My word. I was amazed. Totally mind blowing performance.

Over all, decent episode. Dragged a bit in the middle of the A plot, but I still liked it.
